Revetec Engine Efficiency
Revetec Holdings Limited (RHL) is an Australian based engine Research & Development company that designed a true six (6) stroke engine per revolution of main/centre drive line/shaft, a Revetec engine replaced the traditional crankshaft with a unique co-axial counter-rotating/contra-rotating trilobate design.
The centre drive shaft (CDS) of a Revetec "Controlled Combustion Engine" (CCE) strokes each piston six (6) times per revolution (3 up, 3 down). Operating on a Otto cycle, each piston produces one & half (1.5) combustion strokes per 360° of the CDS. Trilobate surfaces of a CCE are ground to suit a particular Fuel, Power, Fixed or variable rev range, for a particular use.
Revetec engines increase fuel efficiency over existing conventional engines by increasing bottom end mechanical efficiency. By replacing an engine's crankshaft with our unique international patented co-axial contra-rotating trilobate designed engines, we achieve higher total efficiency, proving our engines to be the most efficient gasoline engines in the world, without an modern advanced valve &/or intake technology.
Our pre-production Boxer and X4 Petrol engines created increase efficiency over existing conventional engines by increasing bottom end mechanical efficiency, achieving higher total 'Brake Specific Fuel Consumption' (BSFC) of 207g/kWh or 39.5% efficiency, independently tested by Orbital Australia and Peus Germany. The 2'600cc, X4v1 engine measures approx. 65cm x 55cm x 30cm (WxHxD), and weighed some 80kg without weight reduction.
Revetec's first Diesel prototype engine was manufactured, built, and tested by Revetec Turkey. During 2016 Revetec Australia has plans to up-scale the design and build a 1000kW diesel generator engine, based on the Petrol BSFC results, initial modeling indicates a 1000kWh GenSet engine would save approx. $85'000 per year in fuel savings, if operated for five days a week and eight hours a day, compared to a conventional diesel engine of equal capacity.
Revetec is now seeking engine manufacturers to design, manufacture & build there own capacity 'CCE' engines for alternative applications. Engine Design Competition
Revetec is currently designing a lightweight, small capacity, 4 stroke CCE engine, aimed at the un-certified Aviation (Powered Paragliding) industry, with expectations of entering the replacement engine market.
