Revetec is still in communicating with an Australian engine manufacturer, who has offered to build a large capacity Diesel Generator engine using our CCE technology. An initial estimate of $300'000 was given to design, manufacture, build and full successful bench testing of this engine will was guaranteed.
In Jan 2017 this client indicated they were close to obtaining the funding for this project!

We have previously preformed basic analysis, and cost comparison between a very large (17'000kW) existing MAN V18 51/60DF medium speed diesel engine, and the above manufacturer proposed to build a slow revving (850~1'500RPM) Revetec X16 cylinder Diesel engine.
A Revetec X16 Diesel engine has been draft modeled in CAD, it shows significant reductions in size and bill of materials.
The output shaft can run the entire length of the engine if required, however that is not required using our 'X' CCE configuration, using an 'X' configuration CCE will also reduce the length of this engine by over 300cm (10 feet), further reducing the engines length, weight and the bill of materials from a standard engine of the same capacity.
The initial design although not optimised, displayed simply using existing OEM pistons, barrels and cylinder heads, showed ease of transition between engine versions. Re-designing using various OEM components will further reduce engine size and cost, further streamlining of the design should decrease length by at least another 10%, the centre of balance is not expected to change significantly.
A basic comparison shows manufacturers that using Revetec's CCE technology, can replace a very large V18 cylinder Diesel engine, with a Revetec X16 cylinder engine will provide the following benefits;
- Revetec Engine block is reduced in length by approximately 30%.
- Overall length is reduced by up to 3.50 meters.
- Engine width is increased by 10% whilst height remains the same.
- Weight of engine will be reduced from 70 tonne to approximately 54 tonne, 16 ton less steel equates @$200 ton equates to over $3'200 savings on Steel alone, not to mention Labour & Transport costs etc.
- Oil pan length is also reduced by 30% although rotational clearance from the output shaft allows a higher level to be set maintaining similar oil capacity.
All the above mentioned advantages will be saved by a Manufacturer, more so on larger capacity engines.
Customers using our engines will save on reduced overall running cost, less noise, less pollution, and improved better fuel efficiency.
We are also currently researching the development of a 6 stroke design engine, that will use a Fuel for the first power stroke and then Water (Steam) for the second power stroke!

The technical knowledge gained by Atalan Makine during the building our first 1900cc Air cooled 'CCE' Diesel engine, greatly assist us with re-designing and improving our CCE technology, Atalan Makine has a manufacturing agreement in place with Revetec, and is prepared to assist and work with any company as and when it is required, with time permitting.
